All the above groups welcome non members to join with them on their visit to Moreton. However the charterer sets the program to suit their groups particular interests.
The above groups welcome visitors - Once their own members have had an opportunity to book, most groups welcome visitors. Contact the group direct or email Alan and I'll confirm your booking.
Member discount In recognition of the patronage of Moreton Experience by the Moreton Island Protection Committee, National Parks Association, the Wildlife Preservation Society of Queensland, The Queensland Ornithological Society Inc. and the Queensland Royal Geographical Society, I offer a "members price" on all trips for their members. Members, unable to come with their own group can still take advantage of the "members price". I hope by offering this discount, my patrons will be encouraged to join a conservation group, and also engage in a little networking with other conservation groups.
Like to take advantage of the "member prices" then follow the links provided above to your preferred local group for membership details.
The Program.
We camp at Blue Lagoon on the ocean beach side of Island. The price includes a tour to the Little Sandhills with sand tobogganing (3 hours) and a tour to Cape Moreton (3 hours) . Travel on Moreton Island is on sand tracks and beaches and so four wheel drive buses are used. Schedules are adapted on the day to suit tides and weather conditions. Moreton Experience uses buses with forward facing seats. Lake Honeyeater and its surrounding heathland is only 30 minute walk from our camp and is a must for those interested in wildflowers and nature.
The Accommodation
Moreton Experience's tent camp is located within the Moreton Island National Park Blue Lagoon camping ground. The Moreton Experience camp is located under Casuarina on the beach front just 5 minutes walk from the fresh water Blue Lagoon. (Idyllic swimming) Accommodation is in large canvas tents (4 by 6 metres). Thus your group of between 3 to 6 can have exclusive use of a tent. Stretchers are provided. Please bring your own, sleeping bag and (pillow if required.) Stretchers are provided. Please bring your own plates and cutlery.

Please note
For the last 18 months significant erosion has resulted in access to the Little Sandhills at times being impossible even at low tide.
Access to all inter tidal areas (rocky and sandy) and 30 meters landward is not permitted as oil has been left there to decompose naturally.
